Esther Nazarov: Fred Durst’s Ex-Wife, Everly Farms, and Life Today

Written byShahmeer Khan Hours September 11, 2026October 7, 2026

Esther Nazarov is Fred Durst’s former wife and a co-owner of the Minnesota property now known as Everly Farms. Her 2009 marriage to the Limp Bizkit singer lasted only a short time. Years later, she built a very different life with Frank Weigel. Together, they took over a historic apple orchard in Minnetrista. They expanded it into a farm, winery, restaurant, and event destination.

That later chapter says far more about her life today. The move into farm ownership grew from a family decision after Frank survived a serious case of COVID-19. Their work at Everly Farms now brings together design, food, wine, and events. Family traditions and local fundraisers are part of it too.

Esther Nazarov and Fred Durst Married in 2009

Fred Durst was already famous as the frontman of Limp Bizkit when Esther Nazarov entered the public eye.

The Los Angeles Times covered Limp Bizkit’s July 2009 concert in Las Vegas and noted that Durst pointed out his new wife, Esther, during the show. The report came only days after the wedding.

The marriage ended soon afterward. By late September 2009, Durst had publicly said the couple had decided to separate. The relationship was brief, but it left Esther Nazarov’s name tied to the singer in search results for years.

She did not build a media career from that connection. Her later work moved in a very different direction and, by 2021, official city records placed her in Minnesota as part of a major farm purchase.

A New Chapter With Frank Weigel

In 2021, City of Minnetrista records named Frank Weigel and Esther Nazarov as buyers connected with Minnetonka Orchards and Painter’s Creek Winery.

The property had been a local fall destination for decades. Lowell and Phyllis Schaper had built the orchard from land where they planted hundreds of apple trees in the 1970s. Over time, families came for apples and cider. The farm also drew school trips, weddings, and seasonal events.

The purchase gave Frank and Esther a chance to take over that history rather than start with empty land.

They kept the orchard but began adding new ideas. The goal was to make the property useful in more seasons and for more kinds of visits.

How Minnetonka Orchards Became Everly Farms

By 2025, the Minnesota Star Tribune was profiling Frank and Esther Weigel as the owners of the same property under a new name: Everly Farms.

The Star Tribune reported that the couple bought the 43-acre orchard in 2021 and then expanded the site with a winery, vineyard, restaurant, and other year-round uses.

The apple trees and fall traditions remained. What changed was the range of things families could do there.

Visitors could still come for apples and seasonal fun. They could also return for wine, dinner, private events, or other gatherings.

For her, the project also fit an earlier career in design. The Star Tribune noted that she had worked in design before the family moved into the orchard business.

The Table Turned the Farm Into a Dining Destination

One of the biggest additions was The Table, a restaurant and tasting room at Everly Farms.

The restaurant opened in 2025. It added dinner, wine tasting, private dining, and a more complete hospitality experience to the farm.

The Star Tribune described a warm dining room, wood-fired pizza, seasonal dishes, a patio, and views across the property.

This part of the project made sense for someone with a design background. A restaurant is not only about food. The room, seating, lighting, flow, and mood all shape the visit.

The new space helped Everly Farms grow beyond apple season. It gave people more reasons to visit.

A Health Crisis Changed Their Plans

The orchard purchase came after a frightening period for the Weigel family.

Frank became seriously ill with COVID-19 in 2020. The Star Tribune reported that he spent weeks in the hospital and was placed in a coma as doctors treated him.

While he was sick, Esther thought about plans they had kept putting off.

After he woke, she asked what he would do if he could choose anything. Frank said he wanted an orchard.

A property close to their Minnesota home soon went on the market. The couple bought it.

That conversation changed their direction. Instead of returning to the same routine, they took on a farm and began building a new family business.

Five Children Are Built Into the Everly Farms Name

Family is part of the brand itself.

The Star Tribune reported that the household includes three older children and younger twins. The farm’s new name also comes from one of the twins, their daughter Everly.

That detail gives the property a personal feel. The name comes directly from the family and ties the business to the life they built around it.

With five children in the family, the farm is more than a work site. It is also part of the home life that shaped the next stage of their plans.

The farm therefore sits at the center of both her work and family life.

Design Stayed Part of Her Work

Farm ownership did not erase her design background.

The changes at Everly Farms required choices about dining rooms, event spaces, guest areas, signs, outdoor spaces, and the overall feel of the property.

Those details matter at a place built around visits and events.

People may arrive for apples or wine, but the setting affects whether they want to stay, eat, celebrate, or return.

Her design experience fits that kind of work naturally. It gave her skills that could support a larger hospitality business without needing a separate public profile.

The Winery Gave the Farm a Longer Season

Wine became another major part of the new plan.

Everly Farms developed a vineyard and winery while keeping the orchard active. The winery uses fruit and grapes to create another reason for adults to visit outside the fall harvest season.

The tasting room also works with The Table. Guests can pair drinks with food or use the property for a longer visit.

This wider model makes the farm less dependent on a few busy autumn weekends.

It also lets the family use the land for more of the year. Dining, wine, events, and farm activities can share the same space.

Community Events Became Part of the Farm

Everly Farms has also used its space for local fundraising.

The property hosts Corks for a Cause, an event that has supported Minnesota charities. Recent local coverage has highlighted money raised for Crescent Cove, which provides hospice and respite care for children with serious illnesses and their families.

The fundraiser uses the winery, food, and event space to bring people together for a local cause.

That adds another layer to the business. The farm is not only a place to shop, eat, or drink. It has also become a setting for community events.

Esther Nazarov in 2026

By 2026, Esther Nazarov’s life looks very different from the brief period that first put her name in entertainment news.

Her marriage to Fred Durst explains why many people still search for her. But the years that followed are tied to Frank Weigel, five children, and the growth of Everly Farms in Minnesota.

The 2021 city record links Esther Nazarov directly to the purchase of Minnetonka Orchards. Later local reporting shows Frank and Esther Weigel leading the same property as it grew into Everly Farms.

That timeline connects the two parts of her life clearly.

She moved from a short celebrity marriage into a long-term project built around land, design, food, wine, family, and local events.

From a Short Marriage to a Long-Term Family Business

Esther Nazarov is still searched because of Fred Durst, but that connection is only one chapter.

Her later life centers on the Minnesota farm she and Frank Weigel took over in 2021. Since then, the property has grown from the long-running Minnetonka Orchards into Everly Farms, with a winery, restaurant, vineyard, events, and year-round plans.

The business also carries the family into its identity. It is named after their daughter Everly, while other parts of the property reflect the family’s long-term plans.

What started as a dream after a serious health scare became a new direction for the household. Esther Nazarov now has a far more substantial connection to Minnesota hospitality and farm life than to the short marriage that first made her name familiar.
